Feminist research is essential in QoL research as it builds on the premise that women's and men's personal life experiences are shaped by living as members of the social groups women and men (differentiated further through race, class, ability, sexuality, etc) in global patri archy. Working with a women-centred feminist theory and research methodology contributions from researchers affiliated with Women's Studies and AWORC could cover research projects ranging from QoL experiences of (a) young/old lesbian/heterosexual women in urban and rural areas; (b) the impact on women's QoL across the ages of living in increasingly sexualised public spaces; (c) Women's QoL after experiencing various forms of reproductive medicine and birth technology; (d) QoL of women drug users.
